Hmm, I am contemplating a trip to London soon. You have wet my appetite. My favorite place to visit is the National Portrait Gallery…….but there is so much more. I have a grandson at Eton so I can’t wait to visit him there.
Yesterday I was working in London and arrived to heavy downpours. A few tube stations were flooded and there were big delays on the District Line. Heading for St James’s I decided to leave the tube at Green Park. It had almost stopped raining but the trees were dripping so I arrived soaked. After drying out during a day’s work I had a walkabout, having not been to the capital for some time. London seemed busy again with Parliament Square and Westminster Bridge the usual battleground for pavement space.

Hard to walk five yards here without being in a selfie that’s shared in Seattle or Santiago. Everyone seemed excited and happy though.

I crossed Westminster Bridge and walked along the South Bank. As ever it was crowded with sightseers, skateboarders, performers and people with selfie sticks. I can’t believe it’s 25 years since I used to…
