Where did you go after graduating from high school?

One reason why I collect postcards is that they reflect the geographer in me. Once upon a time I studied geography – at Middlebury College in Vermont and then on to graduate school at Northwestern University in Evanston Illinois.
Here are some postcards of Skowhegan Maine – a place I visited in the summer of the early 1950’s – a visit to a friend and her family who had a summer cottage on a lake there. I took the train from Boston to get there. So far as I know the friends (twins) I visited are still alive but their parents and older sister are no longer with us.

This card would pre-date my visit in the 1950’s.
