Can’t stop now I have to dash
Or I will be in trouble
Lobster lunch that I’ve just had
Left me bending double
You’ll have to carry on alone
Without my company
Once my tummy’s settled down
Best have a cup of tea
But hang about, let’s not be rash
Lest my tummy has a fit
Especially since I have to dash, ‘cause here it comes, OH
SHIT!
Symmetry?

Ceramic Miniature Figures

I found these very fragile miniature figures in an antique shop near the Cornmarket in Edinburgh Scotland. This was some years ago when my husband and I were living in Dublin Ireland and travel to Scotland was relatively easy.
In Our Neighborhood

I am not quite sure about this house. If it weren’t for the car I would think it wasn’t occupied. It sort of has the appearance of being overtaken by the shrubbery. And the car and the bare foreground indicate other possibilities. I must go back and look again, if I can find it!
’50’s Postcard – Town Hall Fairfield Connecticut
Hasting’s Street, Vancouver, B.C.

I like the interplay of colors in this postcard. Was this a hand colored image?
Wouldn’t it make a good jigsaw puzzle?
The message is kind of fun. A card written by a young girl to her cousin?

Doorways
Doorways are one of my themes in postcard collecting. Today I stumbled upon an old photograph which fits this theme also. It’s a photo of 2 doorways in Dublin, or more specifically in Dún Laoghaire, some years ago.
