My Ancestors and the War of the Roses

After reading several of the Philippa Gregory novels about the English Civil War, the War of the Roses, set in England 1450-1480, Red vs White, House of Lancaster vs House of York, I decided to check my family tree and see whether I had any ancestors who might have been involved. I didn’t have to look long. A royal ancestor promptly surfaced – the 2nd Duke of York, the 3rd Duke of. Norfolk was my 15th Great Grandfather. The ancestry tree gets rather sketchy going that far back but it’s fun to pretend it might be true.
