Grover – our Fiji hound. A very loving dog. He used to sit on the sea wall and wait for the boys to come home from school (Suva Primary) on the school bus. He jumped for joy when they appeared – I think it was the highlight of his day.
We got this dog from the pound. He was very frightened and shy to begin with but he soon proved to be a treasure.

This tapestry reminds me of the Corona Virus. Is the boy looking in, puzzled as to why he can’t go in and hug his grandad and grandma?
Wearing a mask – that’s the massage in these days of the alarming and increasing spread of the Corona Virus. I have several different masks which I can choose to wear when I go out of our apartment. My favorite is a BLACK one. I can’t show you a selfie wearing my black mask because I haven’t worked out how to transfer photos from my phone to my computer. It’s all a learning process as I return to blogging. Oh well, as my husband says, it keeps me off the streets! (Ha, we are not allowed to go out to the street – Ida Culver rules to keep the virus at bay.). Below is a picture just for fun.
Another computer related update – the missing mouse that was found doesn’t work. A technical glitch. So my tech adviser no. 1 is ordering another mouse due to arrive tomorrow. That saga continues.
In this time of lockdown an increasing number of us have been in need of a haircut. Well the local hairdresser is returning! And my husband and I have an appointment next week. Hooray.
The numbers of deaths are galloping up. The virus is raging. We were.tested again today The test is unpleasant but the discomfort lasts for only about 5 seconds. Here at this assisted living place, Ida Culver Home Broadview, the staff and residents are working very hard to keep the virus away. So far they have been successful. We all are taking the issue of wearing a mask very seriously!

It has been technically challenging to be blogging again, but I am enjoying it and making new links to friends, old and new. Following the search for the missing mouse — it was found almost in plain sight. It had slipped underneath a little pile of papers in the bookcase – not a logical place for said mouse but never mind – it has been found. Thanks to my tech advisers who supplied a picture of the missing item. At first I didn’t even know what I was looking for. Ho ho aha – so that’s it. Communication via iPhone’s camera.

We finally realized the presence of number 2 mouse in January and with the help of a professional, James chased Mouse 2 upstairs and delivered a fatal blow. Katerina was oblivious. She prefers nocturnal hunts outside.

I am having a bad day. Now that I am blogging again I decided to use my main computer rather than this laptop. I haven’t used my main computer since we moved in February. One of the reasons for not using it was that there was no electrical outlet in that section of our new apartment. It took time to resolve that problem – we had to get permission from the upper echelons of the administration and to have the work order executed. (Pardon the double entendre) But even then I didn’t actually turn the computer on until this morning. Ping…..a beautiful sight met my eyes. That old beautiful familiar screen lit up……..it went through its paces and eventually asked for the MOUSE. OOPS. I. had lots of bits and bobs sitting by the computer but NO MOUSE. I’ve searched!! Did it get lost or misplaced in the move? I’ve placed a call to my tech adviser, no reply yet. I wait.
