Gardening in March
My Garden in the Early Spring
I am a different person…..
when the sun shines
We’ve made it through the DARK time
The days are getting longer and brighter – hooray.
Winter Landscape in the Skagit Valley
After the Seattle Turkey Trot, 2018
Trying to find my car which was parked somewhere – I was only vaguely familiar with the neighborhood and couldn’t remember exactly where I had parked the car in my rush to get to the start line and registration.
climbing the stairs
The climb back up to the start (and the car) after walking the 5K to get to the finish.
Good companions on the walk
Still smiling on the walk – feeling cosy in my dragon hat (the closest I could get to a turkey)
Approximately 1/3 of the way along.
En route
I don’t seem to have a photo of the 7000 eager runners, trotters, walkers and dogs just before the start. Another comment – it was a reasonable day for doing this caper. I did it 4 years ago – a challenge then and a challenge this year but lots of fun and hopefully it will be a nice day next year and I can do it again.
November
Time to get out the scarves – here our some samples – hand knit by yours truly.
My Garden in November
I’m lining up the last of the blooms and taking pots inside so as not to lose any to frost. We still have lots of birds and I can keep feeding them. And there are plenty of fallen leaves to collect.
