Mystery Photo Album

In clearing out our house in preparation for selling, I found a small photo album which belonged to my mother. Identified as such by the descriptive writing on the back of each photo. I puzzled out that these were photographs taken at the 25th reunion of “Nepal IV”. This was the reunion of her friends from 1964-1966 – the Peace Corps group that served in Nepal in 1964-1966. They trained in Eugene Oregon for their adventure and I visited them several times there. (At that time I was attending summer school at UC Berkeley.). I got to know the various members of her group and enjoyed following their adventures for their 2 years in Nepal.

Alas I didn’t get to go to their reunion 25 years later.

Nostalgia

Snug Harbor, Nantucket Island, Mass.

All you have to do is just say the word “Nantucket” and I feel nostalgic for those carefree sun-filled days, long ago on that historic island, 30 miles at sea.
