Surprise Postcard
Carnegie Library, Castries, St Lucia
I was not aware that this library existed.
I lived in St Lucia for 2 years in the early 1970’s. Now Google tells me the fascinating history of this building and the library service in the island. The building is located on Micoud Street in Castries.

Street Width
Main Street, looking South, Hutchinson, Kans.
I am struck by the width of this street in Hutchinson Kansas. Note also the trolley tracks and early wheeled vehicles. Also the bicycles leaning agains the curb and the big sign KRESS- is that an early version of the 5 & 10 of my youth (in the 1940’s)? I really like this postcard!
Why Did I Buy This Postcard?
The Parlor, House of Seven Gables, Built 1668, Salem, Massachusetts
Maybe I was thinking about famous books and authors and wondering about Nathaniel Hawthorne’s lifestyle.
