A rather old fashioned postcard from Gilmanton Iron Works New Hampshire. Home to my Aunt Gladys and Uncle Don Waldron,
Beautiful Mollie
This beautiful Rhodesian Ridgeback sat next to me at the Barking Dog Ale House here in Ballard. But, sadly, I overheard the waiter tell Mollie’s owners that from now on dogs will not be allowed to accompany their owners in the restaurant/pub. That is bad news, For me that’s half the reason for going there. Each time I have lunch there I usually see at least one or more interesting well behaved dogs.
Cat On Barn Steps

This is an old photo and rather faded but I like it all the same. The cat was in my sister’s barn maybe 30+ years ago – younger days. At that time we were visiting from Bangladesh and the farm and all the animals were extra special. I am extra partial to cats – and the browns and grays in this photo – and the memories it evokes.

A Rare Pig Breed
I was quite taken by this article in a recent issue of the New York Times What unusual coloring. I loved the photo with the contesting shades of light and dark. I saved it for future inspiration – a writing theme or something in textiles.
Baby Squirrel

That gray dot in the upper part of the photo is a baby squirrel which I saw yesterday. It scampered up a nearby tree before I could get any closer.

Latest Knitting
latest knitting – a sleeveless top – I’m about to do the final decreases.
And then I took a walk. And I met this handsome cat.
I saw this beautiful cat. And she was friendly.
