An Old Photo

Orchestra for a performance of South Pacific – 2 Mckee’s in the clarinet section – myself and eldest son.

Amateur productions like this were so much fun when we lived in developing countries. in the photo above my eldest son and I were in the clarinet section.

(Other members of the family were involved in the production – my husband did the set design and our other 2 sons were involved in backstage activities. A family and local community effort. Wonderful fun – in the early 1980’s.)

Travel Over 100 Years Ago in the Wild West

Mabel has traveled from Wyoming to Denver Colorado. Mabel is writing to her married sister in Rock Springs Wyoming. Mabel writes as follows: “Landed in Denver all right. Rene met us at the train. Haven’t seen Bert yet expect him here today. We got our berth all right but had to wait in Cheyenne for the other train of course we didn’t have to get off the car. Our room and board are fine.”
