The Seattle Antiquarian Book Fair 2023 has come and gone – how did I miss it? I missed it last year also and then travelled to Boston to catch up with it. Do I have to do that again this year?
Unfortunately I don’t have the picture side of this postcard but the message side is of great interest – at least to me and my sons. It was written by my husband when he was on one of his business trips. In August 1992 when this was written we were living in Nairobi Kenya.and he was traveling to the South Pacific. The card was written and posted from the Solomon Islands. He flew from Nairobi to Mauritius and then on to Bangkok and Sydney Australia. In Mauritius, Air Mauritius could not find his suitcase and thought it might have been left in Nairobi. However in flight, messages were zipping back and forth and the joyous result was that the case was actually in the hold of the flight he was on. Anxious times!
