A New Postcard With An Old Image

Golf Links, Charlottetown, P. E. I.

Isn’t this a “mellow” image. It looks as if there are two men putting or chipping simultaneously. Note the outfits of the caddies and how few clubs they are carrying. The golfer on the left is wearing very colorful “trews” (trousers). This is so “staged”. These men aren’t putting – the group is in the middle of a fairway. The “caddie” on the right looks like quite a senior old gent. Enough nit-picking. Staged or not, it’s fun image.

Going ‘Round in Circles

I seem to be going around in circles today, not even able to keep track of what day it is. It all started with a phone call usually scheduled for Monday morning. That phone call happened this morning, Tuesday. Since then everything seems out of sync. So here is my postcard for today. In keeping with my theme, it’s actually a photo.

House in Nantucket

Jared Coffin House, Nantucket, Massachusetts

Message side – Built in 1845 by Jared Coffin, one of Nantucket’s wealthiest shipowners, this historical house has been authentically restored. Much of its charm comes from mementoes it contains of the island’s glorious whaling days.
